RAWSONVILLE | The Slanghoek Mountain Resort is nestled in the magnificent Slanghoek Valley. We have 8 fully equipped self-catering chalets from a two sleeper to a six sleeper, 7 of them with inside braais the other with a fireplace. We have 13 self-catering safari tents sleeping two or four each with kitchenette and own en-suite shower and toilet. We have two swimming pools, trampoline, putt-putt and jungle jim for the kids. All this is situated under a century old oak tree forest.
In addition we have 15 grassed camp sites with a stream running through them situated between the vineyards on our farm about 600m from the rest of the resort. There is a swimming pool, trampoline, jungle jim. We have private shower and toilet facilities on each site.
For the walking enthusiasts we have 2 walks. To the lookout point which about 1 hour and to a waterfall site which takes about 3 hours. 4x4 needed to get to the starting point of this one.
We have a two conference facilities that can take either max 20 or max 150 depending on the seating arrangements. All catering provided.
For weddings with a small dance space we can fit 120 guests in our hall. Our chapel can only take 64, but we can have a ceremony at our lapa for maximum 100 guests.
Our lapa and hall are also available for year end functions.

Chalet 1,2,3,4 (5 sleepers) R1320 per unit per night. First bedroom has a double bed with en-suite shower and toilet, the second bedroom has 3 single beds with en-suite shower, bath and toilet. Bedding and bathtowels provided. Kitchen has a stove, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid provided. Please pack in extra swimming towels as the bath towels are not allowed for swimming. Kitchen has a stove, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid provided. Lounge area with tv with Mnet, MM1, MM2, Sabc 1,2,3, Etv, SS1, SS2. Inside and outside braai. Outside furniture provided.
Safari tent 1,2,3,4 (2 sleepers) R520 per unit per night One living area with two single beds and kitchen corner. En-suite shower and toilet. Bedding and bathtowels provided. Please pack in extra swimming towels as the bath towels are not allowed for swimming. Kitchen corner has an electric frying pan, barfridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid provided. No television. There is a tv at the pool for the kids. Outside chairs and braai area. We have weddings in the chapel near the tents some Saterdays, please be considerate.
Safari tent 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 (2+2 sleepers) R660 per unit per night One living area with two single beds, double sleeper couch for kids 12 years and younger and kitchen corner. En-suite shower and toilet. Bedding and bathtowels provided for people using the single beds only. Please pack in extra swimming towels as the bath towels are not allowed for swimming. Kitchen corner has an electric frying pan, barfridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Dishcloths and dishwashing liquid provided. No television. There is a tv at the pool for the kids. Outside chairs and braai area. We have weddings in the chapel near the tents some Saterdays, please be considerate.

Honeymoon room R360 per person per night Bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower, bath and toilet. Bedding and towels provided. Camping R440 per site per night (15 sites) The camping area is equipped with 220v power points. Rates include electricity. Maximum 2 vehicles per site provided there is adequate space left on the site. Please make sure that your caravan, vehicle, etc are parked inside the borders of your site. Only one caravan per site. Extra tents allowed. Do not use canvas which will damage grass. (Must have holes) Maximum 6 persons per site not including children 3 years and younger. Note: The campsites are about 500m from the chalets and safari tents..

Horse riding - most Saterday mornings, please enquire on arrival Putt-putt - Putters available at the shop. R60 deposit for putter and ball, R15pp to play Walk to lookout point - Starts at chalet no 6, follow signs (+/-1 hour) Walk to waterfall site - Need vehicle with high clearance to get to the starting point at the dam (+/- 3.5 hours).
